Mission Statement
Our focus at Skopp Chiropractic, Center for Spine Sports & Soft Tissue Treatment, is to offer the very best neuromusculoskeletal (NMS) care available. Our primary treatment goals are to provide pain relief, improved function and optimal NMS health. Treatment Philosophy Our primary concern is to always act in your best interest. Your injury will either resolve, improve to your satisfaction or you will be referred to another health practitioner who we think can help when we can’t. You will be given adequate time to address your concerns. You won’t feel like a part in a factory assembly line. We employ only treatment approaches that are individualized to our patients; no cookie cutter treatment plans. Only state of the art, proven manual therapies (e.g. Active Release, SASTM) will be used for treatment. We will instruct you in appropriate exercises for injury prevention. Insurance We are considered a non-participating or “out of network” provider. We feel in order to provide you with the very best care; we cannot accept the treatment or fee restrictions dictated by insurance companies to participating providers. As stated above, we do not use a cookie cutter or a factory approach. You will not feel rushed through your appointment. We have made a conscious decision to give you top quality care. However, we recognize the financial implication. Therefore, we provide you with a pre-filled insurance claim form immediately ready to be mailed to your insurance carrier. To help with possible cash flow issues, we also accept all major credit cards; Visa, MC and Amex. Medicare The only exception to filing is with Medicare. We file your Medicare claim as required by law. However, coverage is restrictive and does not cover all of our offered services that we may deem necessary for your care. Office We provide a relaxed, friendly office setting to help you feel comfortable before your treatment. There is plentiful free parking, either on street or behind our building. Office Hours Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: 8:00am – 12:00pm and 3:00pm – 7:00pm Tuesdays: 12:30pm – 5:30pm Thursdays: 2:00pm – 7:00pm Cancellation Policy In order for Skopp Chiropractic to function efficiently and effectively cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to scheduled appointments. New patient appointments cancelled require at least 48 hour notification. Failure to cancel a scheduled appointment within the required time will result in a charge to you for the full office visit. Exceptions will only be made by the discretion of the doctor and office staff. Cancellations for business reasons are NOT an exception and will be charged the full office visit fee. Directions The office is located approximately 1.5 miles south of Old Town Alexandria in southeast Fairfax County. We are west of the GW Parkway (.5 mi) and east of Fort Hunt Road (.1 mi). We are located across from the Belle View Shopping Center directly across from the Safeway. From there, Fairfax Connector buses (151,152) will take 10-20 minutes to arrive at our office or waiting taxis will take 5 minutes. |
