SASTM Treatment SASTM tools were developed to help break up myofascial adhesions. Dr
Skopp can use these tools in order to free the soft tissues (muscles, fascia, ligaments, and tendons) from movement restrictions.
The adhesion-fibrosis of soft tissues can develop from overuse (repetitive stress), postural stress, immobilization, tear
or crush injuries and/or surgical procedures. The instruments are skillfully used to facilitate healing and desired remodeling
of the soft tissues. The result is restoration of mobility and restored function. This treatment is a very useful adjunct
to other manual treatments such as ART and chiropractic.
